At first, you help people get back to work. Then you notice the same figure on different cameras. The last door you unlocked was between it and you.
You are the only overnight technical support engineer at Harrowgate Systems, working 22:00–06:00. From a small operations room, you manage tickets, remote desktops, CCTV, phones, access logs and the network. Ordinary faults establish a reassuring routine before requests arrive from disabled accounts—and the systems disagree about who is still inside.
One recurring figure moves through the campus. Restoring an account may reactivate its access; unlocking a door may give it a route towards you. Cross-reference each request, check the consequences and decide what to leave unresolved. The workstation offers partial protection, but physical faults eventually force you into the corridors.
PS1-era low-poly spaces, grainy camera feeds and footsteps beyond the door make distance difficult to judge. Long stretches of uneasy work build towards brief, dangerous encounters: hide, retreat or use the building's systems to buy time. There are no guns or constant chases. Whether the figure serves JANUS, is trapped by it, or is exploiting the same failures remains unresolved.
